Taurus 3 Ring Saw

The Taurus 3 Saw is a new model of saw that is becoming very popular.  While keeping many of the great qualities of previous ring saws, it also has some new features and benefits that will likely be of great interest to stained glass enthusiasts.  Many people aren’t sure what kind of saw to purchase when they start working with stained glass, and they don’t understand the differences between ring saws and band saws.  It is important to know these differences, because what kind of saw is purchased and what it is capable of doing can affect the types of creations that can be produced.  The band saw has diamond on one edge and only a flat blade for cutting.  The ring saw, on the other hand, has diamond on its entire, round blade.  Because of this, it can cut in any direction that the user needs it to, including backward.  Being able to make cuts any way needed is extremely helpful when it comes to delicate areas of a stained glass project.  A stained glass saw can make cuts in intricate or difficult-to-reach areas, and because of this many individuals that work with stained glass find that it is an important tool in their arsenal.

Because so many people are becoming interested in stained glass, and because these individuals find themselves in need of new and better tools for the work that they want to do, the Taurus 3 ring saw has come about.  This particular saw is well ahead of much of its competition based on all of the features that it has.  For example, the entire working part of this particular saw can be snapped out of the water bath that it normally sets in.  It contains its own water reservoir, and because of that it can be used like a portable hand saw.  By allowing for this type of use, the saw can go to the piece that needs to be worked on, instead of being required to bring the piece to the saw.  This may not seem like that big of a deal, but when working with tile, stone, or plate glass, sometimes slabs are too heavy and bulky to be moved around easily.  Having the option of a portable hand saw nicely avoids all of that.  The Taurus 3 ring saw is also much quieter than its predecessors, with fewer moving pieces and longer-lasting parts.  This improves the life of the saw. 

There are many other features of the Taurus 3 Ring Saw, including a face shield that flips up to protect eyes from particles that might be sent into the air.  In addition, the saw requires almost no maintenance, making it much easier to care for.  The work surface is also 25 percent larger than it used to be, and there is more of the blade exposed, allowing you to work more easily on delicate and intricate pieces of stained glass.  There is a built-in light that is intense, and that remains on while the saw is being used.  The saw also grinds as it cuts, so that the edge that is left behind is smooth and finished.  The special design of the saw helps the blades to last as many as three times longer than other, similar ring saw blades, thus further reducing the costs for maintenance and upkeep.  The saw comes with a three-year warranty, which will help to protect any consumers from losing their investment in the saw should it break or become damaged through normal use.  Often, even those that can afford tools like the Taurus 3 ring saw are hesitant to buy them because of the concern that they will be wasting money or the item purchased won’t live up to expectations.  With this saw, however, this should never need to be a concern.
